Daddy tied a rope to a bucket so Ben could try and catch fish. They used fishing poles, too. But Ben was determined to get in the water. Thank God for PaPa's who have more patience with their grandchildren than mommies do. Seth rolled his pants up to his thighs and was wading in the pond! They actually caught some fish in the bucket! None on the pole!! Who woulda thunk it! I must say that it was quite funny when Ben threw the bucket and rope and all into the pond. Daddy had to fish the bucket out with the fishing pole!

 

 

 

 

Christmas in Florida

While we were in Florida, we went to one of the local parks. The weather was beautiful while we were there! The park that Mama and Daddy took us to was great! The play area was great and right at the water. Benjamin was sure he could catch a little fish with his hands! He's so funny!

Such a wonderful trip!

We went to Florida for Christmas and had such a great time! It was a fabulous trip! It was nearly "picture perfect"! Except for the air conditioner going out on the van on the way down there, everthing was great. Who would have thought we would have needed the A/C in December!!!?? We drove Mama and Daddy's cars while we were there, so it wasn't bad. But on the way home, we were pretty hot. We thought that as we got closer to NC it would start getting cooler, but it didn't. It was near 80 degrees there too! I am actually sitting at the Honda service dept. right now while they check it out. Hooray for WiFi!

Orange picking

While we were in Florida, we had the pleasure of picking a variety of citrus fruits. Daddy's co-worker, Max, has a large assortment of trees. We picked and tasted some of them all. He had pomellos, grapefruit, limes, tangerines, naval oranges, and amber sweet oranges. The amber sweet oranges were the best! We picked about three huge bags of oranges! The freshly squeezed juice was FANTASTIC! It is unlike any orange juice you buy at the store. It was quite sweet and not as acidic as what you buy in the grocery store. I generally get heartburn when I drink orange juice, but I have been guzzling this stuff with no heartburn!

Max was truly generous to share so much of his fruit with us. It was a wonderful experience to see so many beautiful fruit bearing trees. I am so thankful that we had the opportunity to go there.
