Woo Hoo! I actually did it! I made Homemade strawberry jam for the first time! My sister, Michelle, used to be the "family jam-maker". But she is in Arizona now. :( -very sad. Anyway, I decided to take up the task. So, the kids and I went to the strawberry patch to pick strawberries. It was a great day for it! We all had a great time. However, I had a hard time convincing everyone we were finished and needed to leave. There were so many strawberries left in the field, the kids felt like we still had work to do! It was a very fun time! I hope the jam tastes as good as it looks! I look forward to learning to can some other things this summer. Thanks Michelle, and Mama and Daddy for your help with this project!
I am including a few pics from the strawberry patch:

Your Strawberry jam looks so wonderful. I am glad that you are learning to make something for a change. We all do!
I love the pictures of your kids picking strawberry! MMMM! I do bet that they also ate some while they were picking some. I might have done that when I was a kid.
