First Family Bike Ride

Well, this has been another busy weekend! As a matter of fact, there aren't many dull moments around here! Anyway, I've been wanting a bicycle for a while. The kids are getting older and we really enjoy being outside. The kids love riding their bicycle around the neighborhood, but we don't let them go alone. So most of the time Brian and I are walking and the kids are riding. (We have one adult bike that someone gave my brother-in-law, Chris. It is a man bike. But occasionally I ride it.) So we finally decided that we were going to get me a bicycle. I saw one on sale in the Sunday paper. Brian knows alot about bikes since he used to be a pro-trick cyclist! (or whatever the official name is for someone who does tricks on bicycles.) But we were so busy this week, we couldn't all go together. So Lindsey and I went to get it Friday afternoon. Too bad. So sad. Sold out. Oh well. I was disappointed. Target had a cruiser too. It was a really nice one! But it cost almost twice as much as the other one. So I didn't get it. Well, early Saturday morning, Brian woke up and said he was going to Chik-Fil-A and get biscuits for breakfast and that he was taking all the kids so I could sleep in! Wasn't that nice! So I was up by the time he got home with breakfast. But that's not all he had! They had been to Target and bought me the really nice bicycle! It was so much nicer than the one I was going to buy. I am so glad Brian got this one for me. It is so cool looking, very retro. It has chrome fenders, 5 speeds and hand brakes. He says it is the "queen" bike! We all ate as fast as we could and went on our first family bike ride! How cool was that! Seth has recently had his training wheels taken off! So everyone was on bikes except Drew. He was trucking along on his big wheel! It was so much fun! (Except I got a really bad sunburn!)

It's official! Our house is for sale! Can you believe it has been almost 2 years already!? We decided to put it By Owner first. We will list it with an agent in a couple of weeks if no luck. We'll see what happens. We've already had one call. She wants to come look at it. She is going to have her agent give us a call to schedule a showing! We can't actually sell it and close before August 18 because we have to be in the house exactly 2 years but we were advised to go ahead and put it on the market because of how slow things are right now. Wouldn't it be crazy if we had an offer and someone willing to wait this soon! Thankfully we don't have to worry, God is sovereignly in control of everything! I'll be keeping you posted for sure!

Even though we have been planning this since before we even began buiding, it is still strange to see a for sale sign in the yard. What do you think?

I love your bike! Funny enough, I've been wanting to get a retro one too but it'd be kind of hard to ride a bike these days with a baby so I may have to wait. And I love the new house plans you sent me. It's very cottagy...love it! Is it smaller than your house now? We'll miss your current house...it's a mansion compared to our townhouse!! :o) Love you guys!
