Shannon had lasik surgery in Raleigh on Tuesday. We've been talking about it for a while and with the new fiscal year for Zep, we were able to put it on our medical flexible spending account that I have as one of my company benefits. The day was quite an ordeal. Her appointment was at 10am and was supposed to be over within 2-3 hours. But after 5hours we finally headed home with Shannon in sunglasses and a bit unnerved. They gave her something prior to the surgery to relax her, but it didn't really take affect until afterward. But she was very brave and let them work on her eyes anyway.
She did OK as the night went on and was able to watch TV with sunglasses on. This morning we had to drive back to Raleigh for her follow-up at 8:25am. After her eye test she now has 20/15 vision!! Prior to surgery she was 20/45.
Afterwards we stopped by the Smithfield outlets to get Shannon a pair of regular sunglasses!
God has truly gifted us with amazing technology!
