I hope you enjoy sharing the pics of our vacation! We laughed and laughed! This was supposed to be the year that we stayed around the resort more. I can't believe how much we did! No wonder we are all so tired!!
Day One: N.C. Zoo in Asheboro

Day Three:
We enjoyed some of the activities that the resort had to offer. Lindsey, Mama, Mandy, and I went to jewelry making. They made some beautiful bracelets and necklaces while I sat and watched. (Creativity is not my forte so sometimes it causes more frustration than enjoyment.) Unfortunately I had left the camera back at our apartment. So I don't have any pictures of this activity.
After jewelry making, the kids and I had a great time making tie-dyed t-shirts! I haven't done that since I was a teenager! The kids had a blast!
Day Four: Dan'l Boone Inn and Tweetsie Railroad!! All aboard!!
We have been going to the mountains almost every year for around 14 years. So over the years, we have developed some family favorite sites and activities. Eating at Dan'l Boone Inn is one of them. It is a unique restaraunt to say the least! They serve the food "family style". We love the lazy susan in the middle of the table which only enables us to eat way too much!
Visiting Tweetsie Railroad has also become a family tradition. This year was Avery's first time ever! And Drew was only 2 years old last time he went, so it was great fun for everyone!
We sure did miss Michelle, Rick, and the kids! We used to ALL go to these places together!
By the way, the pictures look like we are there in the middle of the winter all bundled up! It was sooooo cold almost the whole week! But on the day we were at Tweetsie, it was especially chilly because it rained off and on.

Looks like you guys had SOOOOO much fun. Beautiful pictures.
I think I'll have to give the Asheboro zoo another try. Maybe I will like it better without a herd of 2nd graders!
